By the end of 2025, the whole of the UK is switching from traditional analogue telephone lines to digital lines.
These ‘old fashioned’ lines can be more difficult to maintain, and there is a growing need for faster networks and connections, such as linking your care technology to our Emergency Response Centre.
Some care technology equipment will need to be replaced as part of this, but do not worry, Medequip Connect will support you every step of the way.
When is this happening?
This is a gradual thing and is done bit by bit and a phased change will be happening around the country. Medequip Connect will know when work will be carried out and be in touch with you and talk you through the next steps.
How does it affect me and what are my options?
Once your care technology equipment has been updated, you won’t notice any difference to how you make telephone calls, but you will have the peace of mind that you are better connected.
Replacing your analogue care technology has other perks, such as options of linking other care technology equipment to help you keep safe and independent, such as a watch with a built-in falls detector.
